             SHOES 4 HOPE!

making a difference one step at a time

Shoe for H.O.P.E. is teaming up with the Bath Richfield Kiwanis and the Buckeye Xchange to provide much-needed shoes for those without them. You can help by donating or collecting new and used shoes, in any condition. Kiwanis will pick up at your request! If your business would like to be part of this charitable, global effort, please consider setting up a collection point of your own.

Your generous donation of new and used shoes can make a difference in the lives of people everywhere, and can possibly save lives. Shoes can be used to prevent the hardship and life-threatening symptoms caused by parasitic infection and soil transmitted helminths. Approximately two billion people worldwide suffer with parasitic disesases that could be prevented by wearing shoes.

Shoe collection will continue until August 12th (Richfield Community Day).  Shoes can be given to any Kiwanis member or dropped off at bins located in Richfield at the Buckeye Xchange ( 3031 Brecksville Rd), The Richfield Senior Center (4410 W Streetsboro Rd) or the Richfield Recreation Center (3333 Brecksville Rd.). Shoes will also be collected at the Richfield Community Day. Don't forget to drop off your shoes left over from Garage Sale Day. It would be helpful if shoe pairs had a rubber band around them. This is a great project because a useless dirty old shoe can really make a difference in somebody's life.

A new playground is being planned for bath park area next year. The Bath Richfield Kiwanis have pledged to fund $10,000 worth of playground equipment for Bath kids.
